At LociSpace, we believe that your personal data belongs to you. This Privacy Policy explains how LociSpace ("the Extension") handles information inside your browser.

1. Local-First Data Storage

LociSpace is designed as an offline-first, local-first browser extension. All workspaces, category boards, task lists (todos), and web bookmarks are stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure local storage API (chrome.storage.local). We do not host your productivity data on external databases or cloud servers.

2. Information We Access

• Location Data: If you enable the weather widget, the extension requests access to your device's geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude). This coordinates data is used locally to query open weather APIs (wttr.in) for weather forecasts and Nominatim for city name lookup. This location data is never shared, sold, or used for tracking purposes.
• Bookmarks: The extension requests the bookmarks permission strictly to allow you to import your standard Chrome bookmark folders into LociSpace boards at your request. No bookmark information is transmitted externally.

3. Data Transfer and Third Parties

• No Selling of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your data with third parties.
• No Tracking: We do not track your browsing history or use cookies for personalized advertising.
